Swap Kits
Complete kits that include motor mounts, a Genesis-specific oil pan, and headers make the swap much more straightforward. The oil pan is the part most people underestimate: you need one designed to clear the Genesis front subframe.

Things the Kits Don't Cover
- Wiring and ECU: see Wiring and ECUs & Tuning.
- Cooling: radiator, fans, and the steam vent line. See Cooling.
- Clutch hydraulics: you'll need a Wilwood master and adapter. See Clutch Master.
- Power steering: line adapters or an electric pump. See Power Steering.
- Accessory drive and A/C brackets.
Lessons From Real Builds
- Using an older Enjuku-sourced kit, one LS1 build needed an adapter for the clutch master, plus notching and grinding of the shifter plate for the T56.
- The same build had headers sitting too close to the main fuse box, which caught fire. Heat-shield and check clearance around the fuse box and wiring. See Heat Shielding.
